Last edited by a moderator: 25 Feb I don't know. Make money? They must see a gap in the market, or no one would be interested, and there would be no money to be made. It's not really a fork of Bitcoin or Zclassic, it's just they're choosing to use those blockchains to distribute tokens, rather than do a pre-mine.
I'm sure there are probably other differences too. As for benefits. To those involved, it probably looks good on their CV, and there's probably a few quid in it, especially if they had a bunch of ZClassic before announcing the fork.
For everyone else, it's free money, no matter how small, and we get a privacy coin that has the ubiquitous Bitcoin name. Thanks Bigpops!! I was actually hoping there was a list of supported exchanges rather than having to go look at each one to see if they'll play nice. I've not had a fork before I read an article that said I only needed to have my funds on a wallet or something I've been mining ZCL on the Zclassic donation pool for just over a week. Be interesting to see how it plays out.
